Requesting Home Photo Removal from Realtor.com
A home’s listing can outlive the sale. Contact Realtor.com customer care about off-market photos, and work with the listing agent when the property is still actively advertised.
This guide uses Realtor.com’s official contact route and listing-source guidance, with off-market verification guidance from SmartMLS.
Step-by-Step Removal Guide
Find the listing and check its status
Open the property on Realtor.com and copy its URL. Note whether it is active, sold, expired or canceled.
Open Realtor.com (opens in a new tab)For active listings, contact the agent
Ask the listing agent or broker to update the source MLS record. Realtor.com explains that owners cannot directly edit an agent’s MLS listing.
Realtor.com’s listing-removal guidance (opens in a new tab)Request off-market photo removal
Contact customer care at customercare@realtor.com or (800) 878-4166. Include your property link and specify the photos or other media you want reviewed.
Realtor.com customer care (opens in a new tab)Complete ownership verification
Ask customer care which documents and delivery method they currently accept. SmartMLS says an off-market request may require a deed, title, tax bill or another accepted record showing the owner and address; utility bills are not accepted under that guidance.
Confirm what was removed
After receiving confirmation, review the property while signed out. Ask separately about any remaining floor plan, tour or image, and keep the case number for follow-up.
