Removing a Rental Listing from Apartments.com

A rental advertisement may keep showing a home’s interior and layout. Owners and property managers can deactivate ads they manage directly on Apartments.com.

Deactivating a rental advertisement does not guarantee deletion of the entire property or building page.

Step-by-Step Removal Guide

  1. Sign in to the listing manager’s account

Open Apartments.com in a browser using the account that created or manages the rental ad.

Open Apartments.com (opens in a new tab)
  2. Find your rental listing

From Menu, open Properties & Listings, then Properties. Locate the correct address and unit.

  3. Open the listing controls

Use the green three-dot menu on the property and choose Edit Listing. This controls the advertisement; it is different from editing the underlying property.

  4. Deactivate the advertisement

Select Deactivate, or turn off the Listing: Active toggle. Apartments.com says the advertisement may take up to 24 hours to disappear.

  5. Resolve listings managed by a feed

If an outside listing service supplies the ad, manual changes may be locked. Update the original provider or contact support@apartments.com for help.

  6. Review what remains visible

Check the public page after processing. If photos, a duplicate ad or a building page remain, ask support about those specific items and include their URLs.
